How to train your Labrador puppy.

From the first day you bring your pup home, that’s when the training begins…

You can’t expect much from your Labrador at first because they are still only puppies. When training your pup, remember to reward them when they listen. Play with your pup after your done training with them each day so they look forwards to training! Never yell or hit your Lab when it doesn’t listen, just look in to its eyes and gently say “no.”  Or walk away and ignore it. However, never let those puppy eyes fool you.

                    House Breaking

House breaking is when dogs have to learn to go to the bathroom outside or just not in the house. House breaking is one of the most complicated types of training. For the first few weeks, cover you floors with newspaper to protect it from your Labs business. When they do their dodo’s in the house, say “no” and show them the right place to do their doggie business.  Another way is : If it goes to the bathroom in the house, then use some newspaper and wipe the pee ( improper ) with it and let your lab smell and then take the newspaper with the stuff on it, and put it where you want your pup to go to the bathroom.

      The personality of a Labrador

Labradors have very unique personalities. They are very gentle and loving dogs. But at sometimes they  can be fairly  knotty if they aren’t trained properly. Labradors are great with kids and are best to grow up with them. They are so loyal that they use them as guide dogs for the blind. Labs can be very aggressive at some times but only when their owner’s in danger.
